The Citizens Thermal - Perry K Switchgear Upgrade presented our team with unique spatial and structural challenges that demanded out-of-the-box problem solving. Operating within an older facility, we quickly discovered that traditional electrical conduit passageways were entirely unavailable for the required routing. To navigate these complex site constraints, we heavily leveraged Building Information Modeling (BIM), rigorous preconstruction, and custom fabrication. By digitally mapping the aging infrastructure long before installation began, our team was able to engineer and pre-fabricate unconventional, highly customized conduit assemblies that seamlessly integrated the modernized switchgear system, ensuring a safe and efficient upgrade without compromising the facility's existing operations.
