Community Hospital East

Community Hospital East is typical of many institutions today. The original building was built in 1952 and subsequent additions were erected on an as needed basis. The electrical system in a hospital must be dependable and redundant. The hospital's outdated designs utilizing 208 volt systems for lighting and HVAC had become inefficient and expensive to maintain and run on standby power. Miller-Eads worked with the design team and the hospital to come up with ways to completely change the electrical distribution system in the working hospital. Large feeder routes needed to be planned out and temporary power provided where there was no room to co-exist.
